Lady Victoria Hervey invents the womankini… and we’re not sure it’s a trend we’ll jump on

WATCH out Borat fans. The mankini is back and this time it’s got a feminine touch.

English socialite and model Lady Victoria Hervey has channelled her inner-Sacha Baron Cohen on a beach in the French Rivera with this bizarre strappy swimsuit.

The 41-year-old former ‘It girl’ was pictured in the eyebrow-raising garment as she recovered on the beach from an intense week of Cannes red carpet events.

Unsure whether to don a bikini or one-piece, the aristocrat displayed her trim frame in a plunging animal print top which she then paired with the mankini-style bold bottoms.

With straps that reached over the socialite’s shoulders, this is one inventive way to create a lifted, sculpted derriere.

Lady Victoria finished off the bold beach look with a long feather necklace and loose, soft waves.

Sacha Baron Cohen's first brought the mankini to our attention in the 2006 mockmentary, Borat.

Creating what is effectively considered a crime against fashion, the fluorescent mankini left little the imagination and made speedos a modest beachwear choice by comparison.

Yet in proper socialite style, the price of Lady Victoria's statement swimsuit is equally as eyebrow-raising.

Available in either white or black animal print, you too can get this luxury womankini from designer Lelloue for a cool £175.

Pair with yet another animal-print cover-up for full aristocratic chic.
