Woman shares her hack to getting her laminated floors looking brand new and it’ll only take a few minutes

WITH pets and kids, floors can quickly become the dirtiest part of your home.

Not to mention, they can be especially hard to clean in high-traffic areas.

A woman named Lucina, who said her floors were "used and abused" shared her method for getting sparkling laminate floors.

In a TikTok, Lucina wrote: "Kids and four pets worth of dirt and grime disappear like magic."

To start, Lucina created her "go-to cleaner for a very dirty floor," filled with a variety of cleaning products.

In a mop bucket, she mixed together 1/2 cup Pine-Sol, a Cascade dishwasher pod, 1/4 cup Tide detergent, 1/4 cup rubbing alcohol, then used very hot water to dissolve the products.

She then filled the rest of the bucket with hot tap water to complete her cleaning solution.

Next, she mopped her entire floor with the cleaner, then mopped it again using just clean water.

Lucina let her floor dry completely before applying Zep floor shine with a clean mop and added to make sure to cover the entire floor so there are no dry spots.

She signed off with: "And just like that, it's ready for more abuse," while revealing her shiny, like-new laminate floors.

Despite her cleaning hack's dazzling effect on her floor, some users in the comment section weren't so convinced.

One wrote: "That’s an easy way to ruin your floors.. all the chemicals and then boiling water," while another added: "Laundry detergents attract dirt and never fully come off until cleaned properly! Super bad idea."

But others were impressed by Lucina's cleaning hack.

One person wrote: "Wow. Nice job, at first, I thought I was going to make a bomb with so many things that You mixed. But very good, very good."

Someone else quipped: "That's what you call mirror finish. Nice and Clean."

While you are cleaning your floors, you may also want to take the opportunity to deep clean your rugs.

With just a few household items, you can get your rugs looking fresh without needing a dry cleaner.

Additionally, a cleaning expert revealed the areas in your home you could be damaging from cleaning too much.
