AceShowbiz -Heavy rockers Anthrax are to celebrate their upcoming 40th anniversary worldwide with a livestream event.

Ticket bundles include access to the band for a live video chat and behind-the-scenes stories of the band’s legendary career, and the band – Joey Belladonna, Scott Ian, Frank Bello, Charlie Benante, and Jon Donais – will perform an extensive set of “hits and deep cuts.”

Tickets and details are available on AnthraxLive website.

The countdown to the July 18 anniversary began at the beginning of last month (May 2021) with the ongoing 11-week online docu-series, presented on Anthrax’s social media accounts. Posted every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, each new episode focuses on a particular album, with past and present band members, fellow musicians, colleagues, and industry veterans sharing behind-the-scenes stories of their interactions.

Those contributing their personal memories include Dave Grohl, Dave Mustaine, Gene Simmons, Henry Rollins, Norman Reedus, Rob Zombie, Slash, and Tom Morello.

About the band’s milestone, guitarist Scott Ian reflected, “I was a 17-year-old metalhead kid from Queens when I started this band.” He then pointed out, “I am a 57-year-old metalhead kid from Queens about to celebrate the 40th anniversary of this band.”

“That means for 40 years, I’ve gotten to do exactly what I’ve wanted to do – and getting to do what I love and being a part of something so much bigger than myself has made the time, the unbelievable weight of 40 seems so light,” he continued. “It’s been an amazing story so far, and I see 40 as a milestone that absolutely should be recognized and celebrated. Congratulations to us!”
