Danniella Westbrook has bravely admitted that she relapsed as she battles her drug addiction and is now getting real help.

The actor, 47, has struggled with drug use for many years, beginning at age 14 when she first starred on Eastenders as Sam Mitchell.

She revealed that she is now instead searching for a natural high and has quit champagne and cocaine saying: “Cocaine and champagne ain't got the high I want.”

In a raw and lengthy post, the actress and mother of two said she was starting afresh from today, as she was “totally over” her old addiction-riddled life.

She told her 67.4k Instagram followers in the caption of a selfie: “Ok so here goes …. HONESTY POST Ok so it’s no secret since leaving rehab I’ve slipped and slides more than I have been straight I guess.

“But today I’ve joined a new gym restarted my herbal life and going back to the rooms tonight.

"I’m done with the drinking, the occasional packet and night out. I’m totally over it.

“I know the best years of my whole adult life was the 14 years I spent clean and sober. So today’s the day I go back. Own my s**t. Pick up the newcomers ring with pride not shame .

“I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired and feeling shame and a fraud when people tell me I’m doing well. I’ve done better this time round but I’m done I’m so bloody bored of it all.

“So today I’m saying. Hello I’m Danniella and I’m a recovering drug addict.”

The TV star continued: “I haven’t had a rock bottom this time, I’m just all over the whole vicious circle that is crippling disease that stops me and from being the best me I can be and from reaching my full potential.

“I’m lucky this time I’m not crawling in the rooms a snivelling skinny bag head … I was meant for more than this and this last few years f**king about has show me, that cocaine and champagne ain’t got the high I want.”

Danniella went on to say she wanted a “natural buzz” as she revealed she was going back to cocaine anonymous, narcotic anonymous and alcoholics anonymous today in a bid to get back her life.

Her advice was: “And to anyone struggling wake up and change your life before it clamors yours”

before offering support to anyone else going through the same thing, with: “I’m called to giving back to others seeking a solution to this three fold illness if alcoholism and addiction”

Comments of support flooded the picture with well wishes from friends and fans.

Sam Chapman, Youtube make up artist wrote: “All the very best Dan.”

One said: “All the very best every days a new start”

Another added: “Keep going babe you also no I’m a call away big love”

The soap and TV star has spent an estimated £250,000 on cocaine, which has dissolved her septum – the fragile cartilage that separates the nostrils.

She was so deep in her addiction that she even took 5g a day while pregnant with her son Kai and also used it in labour.

She has previously relapsed in 2014 after 14 years clean and sober, which devastated her family life.

The actress desperately called for help in a celebrity special of the Jeremy Kyle Show soon after.

She relapsed again in 2017 and 2019 but got clean after fearing that just one small line of drugs could kill her.

Daniella posted a picture of her daughter, Jodie, eating lunch with her and the song You Are the Love of my Life by George Benson.

She had Jodie with businessman Kevin Jenkins in 2001 and also had son Kai, with Robert Fernandez in 1996.
