The Masked Singer star Davina McCall sent her fans into a frenzy as she unveiled her new hair transformation following backlash from ITV viewers.

Davina, 55, left viewers floored when she was seen on the show with a choppy haircut with a blunt fringe, with many taking to social media to say they weren't keen on the new look.

The presenter later admitted to fans that it was actually a £120 wig, but the backlash hasn't stopped her from changing up her look.

Davina addressed the response to her hair as she unveiled her brand new look in a gorgeous snap on Instagram, posing in front of her hairstylist boyfriend Michael Douglas.

As the brunette bombshell showed off her blunt fringe and glossy chopped locks, she captioned the snap: "Fringe back. This one’s real. thanks @mdlondon."

It didn't take long for Davina's friends and fans to respond to the new look, as one posted: "Oooh fringe envy!"

Another added: "Looking fab how lucky you are too have a celebrity hair stylist for a partner."

A third wrote: "Love this makes you look younger!"

A fourth agreed: "You look so young now! Love it."

TV presenter Lucy Alexander chipped in: "Love it. I want mine more chunky!!"

Fans of the singing competition had been left divided by Davina's dramatic new look as she unveiled the choppy fringe and sleek locks in a plunging orange dress for one of the first episodes of the fourth series of the show.

Michael took to social media to explain how he managed to achieve the blunt look, revealing he'd managed to tame Davina's hair by wetting and plaiting into a thin brain before clipping it flat.

The wig was then placed on Davina's head before her partner chopped at the fringe to create the style ahead of the show.

As Davina showed off her endless legs in the skimpy orange dress, it didn't take long for viewers to comment on the dramatic new look while the show was on.

One said: "Why does davina mccall look like a claudia winkleman version of the emoji."

Another added: "Davina giving Scream 2 vibes."

A third gushed: "'Is Davina McCall aging backwards?'

The Masked Singer airs Saturdays at 7pm on ITV.
