Denise van Outen ‘doesn’t want to sit around moping’ after Eddie Boxshall split

Denise van Outen "doesn't want to sit around moping" after splitting from long-term love Eddie Boxshall and will get back out there, it has been claimed.

The TV star confirmed last week that she and Eddie had gone their separate ways after seven years together, telling her followers on Instagram that she would "always treasure the good times" they'd shared.

And now OK! reports that insiders have said Denise will jump back into the dating pool.

"She actually feels ready to get back out there on the dating scene, she's wasting no time," the mag quoted an insider as saying.

"She doesn't want to sit around moping."

Celebrity Gogglebox couple Denise, 47, and Eddie had been together since 2014.

The end of their relationship came to light last week, with The Sun alleging that Eddie had been engaging in phone calls with other women.

Denise, who has a daughter from her former marriage to musical theatre star Lee Mead, confirmed she had called time on their relationship in a moving Instagram post.

Sharing a black and white snap of herself walking along on the beach with her dogs, she wrote: "Over the past couple of months, there has been much speculation regarding my relationship with Eddie.

"It saddens me to confirm that we are no longer a couple. I had to make the difficult decision not to continue in our relationship.

"I will always treasure the good times we spent together, and the memories made.

"We ask that you please respect our privacy at this time, especially for our children."

Eddie also broke his silence on social media, uploading a photo of a mirror with words on it that said: "When everything is uncertain, everything that is important becomes clear.

"Health Happiness and love," he captioned the cryptic post, along with prayer and heart emojis.

The Daily Star has contacted a representative for Denise for comment.
