EastEnders’ Melissa Suffield oozes body confidence in bikini for pic with son

Former EastEnders actress Melissa Suffield showed off her stunning body as she posed for a sweet snap with her son, River.

Showing off her body and exuding body confidence, the 28-year-old mum posed in matching swimwear with her son – both wearing gorgeous leopard print ensembles as they bathed beneath the sun.

The actress, who is best-known for playing Lucy Beale in the BBC soap, has since become a bit of a body positive advocate.

The actress wore a leopard print bikini bra with high-waisted black bottoms.

Her baby son River wore a long sleeved swimsuit in the same print as his mum's top, to protect him from the sunshine on the hottest day of the year.

Melissa captioned the set of sweet snaps: "The best job I ever had was being this one's permanent matching accessory.

“The heatwave weekend was ace! Really needed it after a load of s**t rain recently, it was good to get the bikini on and feel the sun on my skin.

“River had a blast moving ball pit balls from pool to playpen all day over and over again, and amazingly, he handled the heat like a champ.”

While another wrote: "Loving this matchy matchy swimwear!"

The actress-turned-body-positivity-advocate has had trolls attack her for being fat.

In an interview with The Sun, she opened up about the trolling she has received: "Trolls have attacked me for being fat, being open about exclusively pumping, and for ‘thinking you’re the only woman on Earth to have had a baby’.

"The trolls, I think, have got to the point where they realise I don’t give a s**t. The problem with them is they’re self-important enough to think their opinion needs to be heard, and it really doesn’t.

“Think what you like, but just keep it to yourself, and certainly don’t feel the need to follow me if you don’t like what I’m posting.”

The actress rose to prominence in 2004 at the age of 11, when she joined the cast of EastEnders to play Ian Beale's daughter and twin sister to Peter.

Melissa played the role of Lucy until 2010.

Three different actresses have played the role of Lucy Beale, but Melissa was the first.
