It’s been almost 45 years since Elvis Presley died, but those who knew him best continue to share their memories and love from their time with the star. One of them is Linda Thompson, who dated The King from 1972-76 and lived with him at Graceland while they were dating. The 71-year-old has posted a touching tribute to her old flame on Instagram this week.

Alongside photos of her pets and sons Brody and Brandon Jenner, Linda shared a clip of Elvis singing Blue Christmas from his 1968 Comeback Special.

She captioned the post: “A little flashback Friday…Blue Christmas is a favourite…missing some loved ones…(could Elvis be more gorgeous?)

“And a few photos of Sassy and Willis. I babysat the twins last night and captured this photo of Sam peeping through the door. Ahhh the magic of Christmas! Sassy is already buttering up to Santa, Willis has grown up so fast, and we are all looking forward to celebrating Christmas all month long.

“A big thank you to @westsidegsr for my girl Sassy! There’s still time to adopt a puppy/dog for Christmas everyone!”
