Emily Ratajkowski was one of the three models who appeared in the music video where they danced around naked to the track Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke.

The controversial song certainly commanded tonnes of backlash, but it managed to make its way to the UK No1 in 2013 with sales of 14.8million.

Seven years on, Emily has claimed in her new book, My Body, that the singer had "cupped" her bare breasts from behind while they were on set.

She claimed that following the alleged incident, she moved away and looked back at Robin Thicke who smiled a "goofy grin".

Emily wrote: "I didn't react – not really, not like I should."

The model claimed her head "turned to the darkness", while adding that the director Diane Martel yelled, "Are you okay?", as she shrugged and "avoided eye contact".

She also said in the book that she had enjoyed filming for the video up until the alleged incident.

Director Diane Martel claimed the singer had been "drinking" and "sheepishly" apologised to the model.

She told the Sunday Times that she remembered the moment, claiming that he "grabbed her breasts, one in each hand".

The director said at that moment she said the shoot was over as she asked him, "What the f*** are you doing?"

Further alleging that the singer had been drinking, Diane added: "I don't think he would have done this had he been sober."

The song itself faced a tone of controversy, including a ruling from a US judge that it illegally copied Marvin Gaye's song Got To Give It Up.

The judge ordered that the family of the late soul singer should be paid $5.3million (£3.8million) after the release.

The singer claimed on Apple Music 1 that he "never saw it that way" and recognises that it's his most popular song.

His music video alone gained a lot of attention with many torn over the work that went into the clip, and it became a talking point for months – and even years – after the release.

Daily Star Online has contacted the representatives of Robin Thicke for comment.
