    Singer Christine McVie has died at the age of 79, her band Fleetwood Mac has confirmed.

    The songwriter was also a co-lead vocalist and keyboardist in the popular the popul Brritish-American rock band which was originally formed in London.

    On Wednesday (November 30) a statement from Fleetwood Mac was issued on Christine's Twitter page which confirmed the sad news of her passing.

    The statement read: "There are no words to describe our sadness at the passing of Christine McVie.

    "She was truly one-of-a-kind, special and talented beyond measure.

    "She was the best musician anyone could have in their band and the best friend anyone could have in their life.
