Kirsty Gallacher has vowed she won’t let her ear tumour force her to quit television completely.
The 45-year-old recently revealed the tumour is currently causing her severe tinnitus, which makes it difficult for her to sleep.
But she has now shared that she still plans to keep working at GB News regardless of her condition.
Speaking openly, she said: "I’m not taking a step back from the channel. I am still very much involved. I have been finding early mornings difficult because of my tinnitus. I was getting up at 2.45am, which was hard, so I won’t be doing my breakfast show now.
"But we are talking about what I will be doing instead. It’s about finding a way forward and finding the right thing for me.
"It’s a balancing act. There is plenty I can do on the channel. I know we will get there. So I am very much not leaving GB News."
Kirsty has been amazed by the support she has had since speaking to channel bosses. She added: "I could have soldiered on. But I wanted to say, 'I’m not coping very well'. I’m a mum and I have a radio show.
"And you can’t do everything. When I told the boss of GB News he was amazing about it."
Last month, the TV personality took to Twitter to share that she would step back.
She penned: "During the summer I discovered I have a tumour in the inner canal of my right ear. Thankfully, it’s benign and not hugely detrimental to my normal life.
"However, the tumour has caused severe tinnitus which makes it very difficult to sleep. Sadly my 3am starts at GB News, compounded by sleep deprivation, are exacerbating my symptoms.
"I have taken the difficult decision to take a step back from my role on the Great British Breakfast while I focus on my health."
Kirsty was among other TV favourites partying at TRIC’s Christmas bash on Tuesday.
For the glitzy event, the Edinburgh-native tied her beautiful brunette tresses into a sleek ponytail as she greeted onlookers before making her way inside the venue.
Kirsty wore a figure-hugging black halterneck jumpsuit which she teamed up with a matching pair of heels that featured silver embellishments.
