Grimes says the Earth is ‘4,000 years old’ and dinosaurs were ‘planted by god’

Elon Musk's ex partner Grimes took to Twitter with a wild theory about dinosaurs on Tuesday (September 13).

Claire Elise Boucher, known professionally as the singer songwriter Grimes, wrote: "World is 4000 years old.

"Dinosaurs were planted by God to confuse us."

Her statement received a mixed response from fans, with some agreeing and others mocking her.

One wrote: "Okay but she has a point though."

Another follower said: "It's not even funny as joke because nearly half of Americans believe this to be true."

While a third joked: "Really excited to put my science education to work as Grimes's new social media manager."

A fourth penned: "Earth’s flat too."

Grime dated Elon Musk for three years before the two parted ways last year.

The pair are apparently still on "great terms".

At the time they split up, in a statement shared with Page Six, Elon said: "We are semi-separate but still love each other, see each other frequently and are on great terms."

Elon continued: "It's mostly that my work at SpaceX and Tesla requires me to be primarily in Texas or travelling overseas and her work is primarily in LA.

"She's staying with me now and Baby X is in the adjacent room."

The couple welcomed a baby boy in May 2020 and named the baby X Æ A-12 which was inspired by a song on Grimes' album.

However they were forced to change the baby's name as the Californian law doesn't allow Indo-Arabic numerals in names.

His name is now X Æ A-Xii, pronounced Ex Ash A Twelve.

Grimes previously explained that Baby X doesn't call her mum, she said: "I think having a baby was a big rebirth for me artistically. Being a mother feels weird for me to say.

"X says Claire, but he doesn't say 'mama', maybe he can sense my distaste for the word 'mother'."

Last year, Grimes explained that despite Elon's wealth, she didn't receive any financial support from him.

However she admired that he put his money "into making the world better".

Speaking to Business Insider, she went on to add: "Grimes is funded by Grimes, I can't say the things I say and believe what I believe and then take money from my boyfriend."
