Hollyoaks’ Stephanie Davis breaks silence after mystery illness and cryptic post

Hollyoaks actress Stephanie Davis took to social media to thank her partner Joe Mckalroy for being her "absolute rock" after he revealed she was in hospital.

Joe had posted a picture of the pair holding hands to his Instagram account, where fans spotted Stephanie, 29, wearing an NHS bracelet in the background.

While the photo has since been deleted, fans were left concerned for Stephanie's mystery illness, especially as Joe gave no context to the snap or explanation as to why she was in hospital, simply captioning the image with a heart emoji.

Stephanie has now posted a picture of a bunch of flowers with a message of gratitude, also thanking people who had reached out to send messages of support.

She also shared a clip of herself with Joe, captioning it: "So grateful to this one, my absolute rock."

Another image she posted was of her son Caben-Albi, who she had with former boyfriend Jeremy McConnell, writing: "My beautiful two, so blessed to have them both. My beautiful family."

Stephanie has been in and out of hospital over the past few months after she fell down a flight of stairs a few days after undergoing a boob job procedure.

She said at the time: "Just fell down the last few of my stairs and went backwards on my arm and the pain was horrible after surgery! Feel sick. Hope my stitches are OK. Need to rest more that's me done for today, need to go way slower."

She seemed to recover well, as she was spotted out and about with Joe the following day.

The pair recently became an item following Stephanie's breakup from Oliver Tasker.

She posted a picture to Instagram of herself with Joe, writing: "My person. I honestly can't even describe the love I have for this one.

"Just to belly laugh every day and be with my best mate who's the love of my life is the best feeling in the world. I Can't wait to explore the world with you."
