For years, Los Angeles-based rapper Blueface was known for his top-10 hit “Thotiana,” bolstered by the success of a remix featuring Cardi B and YG. In April 2021, the young hip-hop star made waves online after posting troubling videos on social media.
Blueface is under fire for videos he posted online
In April 2021, Blueface posted videos on his Instagram Stories that showed several women in a room full of bunk beds with the rapper revealing that they’re all getting tattoos of his face. He then went on to show one of them being inked with a portrait of his face on her neck.
Rumors began swirling that Blueface was running some sort of sex trafficking operation or cult, not unlike the infamous NXIVM sex cult. Some compared the bunk beds in the video to the infamous bunk beds from the Heaven’s Gate cult mass suicide.
Blueface responded to the sex cult allegations
Blueface took to Twitter to respond to allegations that he was running a sex cult out of his home. “Wtf is a cult?” his first tweet read. He then went on to explain that the women in the video are “contestants” on his reality show Blue Girls Club that airs exclusively on his OnlyFans.
“For those who are curious, my show is a 3-week series,” Blueface added. “I move women in from all over the US, fly them out to Cali, [and] put them under one roof.”
“I own 2 homes,” he continued. “I don’t stay there; I take care of all there [sic] financial needs while they are here, I promote there [sic] brands etc.”
“We film all day,” he concluded. “Tune in.”
Blueface compared ‘Blue Girls Club’ to ‘America’s Next Top Model’
Blueface went on to clarify what is allowed in the house as far as sex. “We don’t tolerate any sexual conduct between men and women so the women do tend to grow interest in each other because of this, but they are adults at the end of the day, he said. “It’s only so much I can control so what they do with each other is a part of the show.”
He then went on to address the comments about the bunk beds in the videos he posted. He offered that the popular reality show America’s Next Top Model featured a dozen women sleeping in bunk beds. “America’s Next Top Model was on bunk beds but y’all mad at me,” he said.
He also teased the third season of Blue Girls Club and advertised auditions for the next season. “Season 2 is wrapping up,” he said. “If you are interested in being a contestant on season 3 follow my Instagram to see when auditions start.”
