Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway talked about fears for her daughter Darcey in an emotional GMB moment
Kate Garraway talked about her concerns when discussing the concerns surrounding women’s safety in our streets.
In a candid moment of GMB, presenter Kate opened up about her personal concerns following the disappearance of Sarah Everard.
She began by saying: "I found myself as a parent having sort of confused conversations with myself… with my teenage daughter."
She continued: "About dressing appropriately and things like that. And she, being a very 2021 teenager, is like 'why should I not dress like this?
“It's nothing to do with me.' And then I find myself saying, 'I'm trying to keep you safe!”
There has been a growing debate surrounding the safety of women on UK streets this week, with many calling for action.
Kate went on to say: "It's almost like my generation has an assumption that we have a responsibility to dress in a certain way.
“It's wonderful maybe, that this generation will be able to throw that off."

The presenter admitted to her own personal worries as she has a 15-year-old daughter.
Many women across the UK have been speaking out about their own experiences with harassment.
Kate and her family have been through a tough year, as the end of March will mark a whole year since her husband Derek was first admitted to hospital with Covid.
He was put into an induced coma to aid his recovery, and has since been taken out but is in a minimum state of consciousness.
Kate's co-star Piers previously said on GMB that she has been warned by doctors that Derek may never wake up from his coma.
GMB continues on Monday at 6am on ITV.
