Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez ‘split up’ after two year engagement

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have reportedly 'split'.

According to PageSix, 51-year-old singer and the 45-year-old former Yankees baseball player have ended their four-year relationship.

J-Lo was due to marry the former US baseball star last year in Italy, but the ceremony was postponed several times due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Sources told the publication that the couple were on the rocks.

Speaking of the former couple after their 'split, the source said: "He's now in Miami getting ready for baseball season, and she’s filming her movie in the Dominican Republic."

Daily Star has contact representatives for Lopez and Rodriguez for comment.

Alex shared a photograph alone in Miami before news of their 'split' was revealed.

He wrote in the caption: "Don’t mind me, just taking a sail-fie… What are your plans for the weekend?"

While Jennifer shared a string of clips from some of her chat show appearances as she wrote: "Find a good reason to laugh today. Sending love to everyone."

The famous duo announced their engagement in 2019 after dating for over two years.

Their wedding was postponed twice last year with JLo revealing in December: "We had to cancel the wedding … because of COVID, because of the quarantine. And we actually did it twice, which people don’t know."

She added: "I think we just feel like, ‘Let’s just wait it out.’ There’s no rush, we’re good, everything’s cool and it’ll happen when the time is right. I feel like it’s not a huge priority to go and have a big wedding right now, that’s not what life is about."

Alex proposed to the singing icon during a holiday in the Bahamas.

They announced the wonderful news to fans by sharing the same photo showing off the huge engagement ring on Jennifer's left hand.

Lopez was formerly married to singer Marc Anthony, and the pair share 12-year-old twins.
