Kourtney Kardashian has given fans an update on her IVF journey with her husband Travis Barker in the latest season of The Kardashians.

Kourtney and Travis took a little getaway to Santa Barbara, California and met up with Kourtney's mother Kris Jenner and her partner Corey Gamble for dinner.

Corey asked them how their 'scrambled egg' was going, as Kourtney reveals one egg did make it to an embryo.

Kourtney said: "We don't know. We haven't gotten an answer yet.

She continued: "After eight months of our IVF journey, we took a break and wanted to try things naturally.

"The doctors had told us that we still had some really good looking follicles and it was the best they had seen."

"Everyone involved, including our actual doctors, felt we should give it one more shot with an IVF retrieval.

"And so we did one final egg retrieval, and we are just waiting on the genetic testing results, but it has made it to an embryo."

Kourtney explained to her mum and Corey that they are just waiting on testing.

In the first season of The Kardashians viewers saw Kourtney and Travis visit Dr. Wood about IVF treatment.

Kourtney told viewers that she was "super excited" about the treatment as they made it to the first egg retrieval in six months.

The doctor told them that they had a "good follicle" and could have "multiple children."

Although it seems that thing took a turn for the worst when Kourtney told Wall Street Journalin an interview in September that she was "taking a break" from her IVF journey.

She also told her mum on The Kardashians that the hormone treatment she was on was triggering "depression."

She confessed: "The medication put me into a depression. I have everything in the world to be happy about

"I just feel off and not myself. I'm super moody and hormonal. I'm a lunatic half the time."

Her mother encouraged her that everything will be okay.

She said: "Kris said: "You'll have a beautiful baby, probably a year from now. We'll be sitting right here, and you'll be yelling, 'Get the baby, it's crying'."

The TV personality currently shares Mason, 12, Penelope, nine and seven-year-old Reign with former partner Scott Disick.

Meanwhile, Travis is father to daughter Alabama, 15, and son Landon, 18, with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler.
