Michelle Keegan has made a move to Australia without husband Mark Wright after being offered a 'dream role' in a new BBC TV series.

The actress, 34, uploaded a montage of snaps to Instagram on Sunday (May 29) sharing an insight into her new life Down Under for upcoming drama Ten Pound Poms.

Michelle included some behind-the-scenes pictures of filming, alongside snaps of her first week in Australia, including trips to the beach and flower market, and a fiery sunset.

She also shared a glowing picture of herself smiling for the camera, sporting a tan and a bouncy blow-dry, captioning it: "My 1st week down unda" (sic).

The Brassic actress wore minimal makeup and an oversized sweater.

Her Brassic screenwriter Danny Brocklehurst is behind Ten Pound Poms, which follows a group of British people leaving Britain in 1956 to go on an adventure half-way across the world.

Of the series, Danny said it is a 'big, bold character piece about what it means to start again.'

"The assisted migration programme is a little-known part of British and Australian history but offers endless stories about the people who travelled to the other side of the world in search of a better life," a source told The Sun.

One downside of moving to Australia for work is that Michelle may have to be apart from husband Mark Wright for a while.

The pair recently celebrated their seven year wedding anniversary, with Michelle uploading a series of pictures of their big day to Instagram.

She captioned the post: "(heart emoji) 24.5.2015 (heart emoji). Happy Anniversary to my husband, my best friend & biggest supporter. Love you (heart emoji)."

Since getting married, both Michelle and Mark's careers have taken off, with Mark in the USA presenting talk show Extra, and Michelle appearing in TV dramas Tina and Bobby and Our Girl.
