Piers Morgan sparks fury after cruelly shaming Madonna for racy Grammys ensemble

Piers Morgan has sparked fury online after he called out Madonna for her latest striking ensemble at the 2023 Grammys.

On Monday (February 6), the musical goddess left fans speechless after she repeatedly hit herself with a riding crop in her latest racy video.

The 64-year-old pop sensation headed to the Grammy’s last night (February 5), stealing the show at the glitzy, star-studded awards ceremony in her racy ensemble.

Wrapping herself up in a business-casual meets dominatrix ensemble, the auburn beauty donned a floor-length Victorian-style coat which was cinched in at the waist with brass buttons.

But it appeared as though not everyone adored her latest jaw-dropping ensemble, after the former Good Morning Britain host slammed the singer online.

Taking to Instagram, the dad-of-four shared an unflattering angle of the fiery-haired stunner online in which he compared her to a Halloween creature.

He wrote: “I thought Halloween was in October? [shocked emoji]” which soon garnered a wave of backlash from him two million followers online.

Fans soon flocked to the comments section below to call out the TV presenter’s cruel comment online.

One user snapped: “Why are you shaming her? Shame on you!” as another hit out with: “Don’t be cruel Piers. Madonna rocks.”

A third chimed in with: “Piers, no. I’m not a big Madonna fan, but I am usually one of yours – however this crosses a threshold for me. Unnecessary.”

One account echoed: “If you can’t say anything kind – say nothing at all #noneed,” as a fifth pointed out: “Giving Meghan a break and moving on to insult a different woman this morning!”

It comes after the broadcaster was slammed for branding the Like A Virgin songstress a “hot mess” following her 40th anniversary announcement video last month.

Taking to Twitter, Piers wrote: “I think Madonna’s become the biggest cringe-making fiasco in world entertainment.”

Discussing the announcement on his TalkTV show that week (January 18), he also said Madonna “should be put out for pasture” and criticised her for “trying to be a sex kitten when you’re in your 60s.”

Piers then showed a series of X-rated snaps Madonna has shared on social media, including one of her lying underneath a bed with her bare bum on display.

The talk show host said the singer has hit “rock bottom” and suggested she should do her arena shows while sitting in a rocking chair, which the star soon faced criticism for online.
