Ray Winstone looks totally unrecognisable as Hollywood star poses shirtless

Ray Winstone has been spotted soaking up the sun in Portugal, where he is currently filming a new movie for Netflix.

The 65-year-old looks completely unrecognisable in a topless snap he shared on Instagram as he enjoyed two days off from filming.

The Beowulf star wore a black cap and orange-tinted sunglasses as he sat sunbathing his now-tanned skin.

Ray sported a long white beard and moustache and had his hair slicked back under his hat. He also wore a silver chain, paying tribute to his hardman image.

Ray captioned the picture: "Got two days off graft, so we’re hanging about “Vallado Winery” in the mountains of Portugal.

"'Hot, Too Hot! Not for me, I love it, you could fry an egg on my stomach' if you ever find yourselves down this way, stay here. It’s the absolute business."

He also shared a video driving through the beautiful mountains of northern Portugal.

He captioned the post: "I Mean, what a way to start the day.

"The great thing about my job is I’m lucky enough to work in some of the most beautiful places on the planet. None more than this, The Mountains of northern Portugal, “Montaigas”.

"My God you don’t realise the beauty of a country until you visit the heart of it, and this must surely be the heart. Heaven."

Ray is set to star in a new Netflix film, Damsel, which is due to be released in 2023.

The film is being directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo and has been written by Dan Mazeau. It will also star Stranger Things' Millie Bobby Brown, Robin Wright, Nick Robinson and Shohreh Aghdashloo.

The fantasy film will tell the story of a girl called Elodie (played by Millie) as she agrees to marry handsome Prince Henry, heir to the kingdom of Aurea.

However, there's a catch to this seemingly happy fairy-tale. The royal family in fact imprison Elodie and plan to use her as a human sacrifice to settle an ancient debt.

She is thrown into a cave with a fire breathing dragon and must rely on her skills to survive.

The film will be shot in three locations across Portugal.

Filming has already taken place at the Batalha Monastery, in Leiria. The production will also shoot in Tomar and later in the town of Sortelha, in the district of Guarda.
