Zara McDermott has opened up about becoming a victim of revenge porn at just 14 and says she has been "in pain" ever since.
The reality star has opened up about her decade of anguish after being pressured into sending a nude picture of herself as a young girl.
Zara sent the shot to classmates back in 2011 and says she has been paying for it every day since.
The Love Island star has opened up about her ordeal as she prepares for her BBC3 documentary to air.
Now, in an interview with The Sun, she admitted it took many years to start her recovery from the trauma.
The beauty claims she was not given enough support from her teachers – and suggested they lacked any compassion for her.
The 24-year-old, who also appears in Made In Chelsea, said: "It's been 10 years of pain
"It still affects me to this day and I don’t think it will ever go away. I was so scarred from that experience.
"You want people who are older and more experienced, like teachers, to be compassionate. There was no compassion for me.
"They were so embarrassed by my behaviour that they didn't want me in school. Do you know what that does to a young girl?"
She is determined to use her awful experiences to help others and Zara says the upcoming BBC documentary will explain more about the subject.
Last week, Zara said she once "considered suicide" and even thought "how she would do it" following the heartache.
Zara, who is now happily dating Sam Thompson once more, told The Times: "People don't realise when something like this happens, it affects the whole family.
"My teachers just washed their hands of me. It was one of the hardest things I went through in my whole life.”
There was a dark moment and told the publication that she remembers thinking "'How would I do it?’".
Zara alleges the boy who circulated the intimate images of her escaped with no punishment.
