Bloke buying dog mortified to discover he’s been sold a ‘laughing’ hyena cub

A bloke has been left baffled and mortified after attempting to buy a dog, only to find out that it was actually a laughing hyena cub.

The mad moment was recounted in an Instagram video by user Infared_Savage2.

He claims that he replied to an online post selling what looked like a cute puppy.

But when he went to see the pooch ahead of taking him home, it quickly emerged that this was not a dog at all.

It was, in fact, a laughing hyena.

He said: “She looked like a wombat. The guy brought the mom and dad (dogs) out and I'm looking at them and looking at my puppy and I'm like 'nah bro'.

“He kept saying that the puppy would grow up and look just like them.

“I tried to name the and said 'come here Nina', and the god damn dog just looked at me and laughed – I was so scared, I was like 'what the f*** is he laughing for?'

“This is a hyena, like a dog-cat-wolf.

“I was trying to play with it and it was just laughing . . . it gave one big laugh and then bit me on the leg.”

The bloke goes on to explain how he was pretty sure dogs don't give birth to hyenas.

He even called it a “crack baby dog” and a “orangutan-lizard-fox”.

More of the weird hyena babies were brought out, and they all started laughing in unison.

The guy added: “The moral of the story is to watch out for these dog breeders . . . you might get ferrets.”

Instagram users were enjoying the blokes predicament, with the vast majority of them comparing the animal – which he posted photos of – to a classic Disney villain.

One wrote: “(you) bought one of the enemies from Lion King.”

And a second commented: “Did you whisper Mufasa?

“That's the only way to tell for sure.”

Several users asked for an update on whether or not he took the dog/hyena thing home.

No update has been given, but the would-be buyer has been contacted for comment.
