Bonkers conspiracy theorists say detail in 1937 painting proves time travel

Conspiracy nutters reckon they have finally got proof that time travel exists after they spotted a bloke scrolling “an iPhone” in a painting of 17th Century America.

The piece of art, produced in 1937, shows a colonial scene in which English fur trader William Pynchon barters with Native Americans.

But eagle-eyed theorists were quick to point out an odd part of the painting that shows one man staring down at a mystery object.

They claimed he was holding it in a remarkably similar way to how people today scroll through their smartphones with one hand.

The historical mural has not been touched since it was painted over 80 years ago and the artist, Umberto Romano, died in 1982 – meaning there was no way he could have heard of an iPhone, which was first released in 2017.

However, despite the conspiracy clan jumping on the painting as definitive proof of multi-dimensional entities, history boffins have shed some doubt on their theory.

The experts reckon it is more likely to be a mirror, an object commonly traded by merchants at the time.

It’s not the first time nutter theorists have jumped on an image and claimed it to be proof of time travel.

Recently, they accused famous environmental campaigner Greta Thunberg of crossing the dimensions of time as she was said to have been spotted in an image taken 120 years ago.
