An eerie image of a shadowy apparition has been captured walking around the beer garden of a Cumbria pub – and landlords believe it's a ghost caught on camera.

The CCTV footage was captured in the newly renovated beer garden of the Twa Dogs Inn in Penrith Road, Keswick.

Two fluorescent green orbs can be seen moving around the locked beer garden and it illuminates a human-like shadow walking around.

The spine-tingling site was spotted by staff member Sharon Hankin, who has worked behind the bar for eight years.

She told Cumbria Crack: “I had been watching it all night on CCTV and thought: ‘What on earth is that?’”

”I took a video of the CCTV footage on my phone. You can see the outline of a body and it looks like it's got a head and legs and at the end, you can see an arm swinging."

The venue's landlord, Peter Harding went out to investigate but the beer garden was empty and he described the footage as “unbelievable.”

He told the publication that they just renovated the area to be able to offer service outside in line with Covid-19 regulations and claims the pub has a resident ghoul.

His wife Marjorie and staff, including Sharon, claim that the ghost has been known to haunt to pub's pool room.

“When I was working a few years ago, I saw a figure wearing a blue jacket walk across the hatch in the pool room. I went to have a look and there was nobody there,” Sharon recalls.

Other members of staff have reportedly heard footsteps on the landing and once she was startled by a “loud growl” behind her after returning some keys upstairs.

The barmaid also claims to have seen apparitions on freshly made beds upstairs.
