Elon Musk’s dad slams ‘hit job’ claims his billionaire son is ‘self-medicating’

A recent report accused Twitter owner Elon Musk of using drugs to cope with his mental health and stressful life.

However, his dad Errol Musk has slammed the allegations written in The New Yorker as “utter BS” [bulls**t].

The retired South African politician also claimed the article is filled with “blatant inaccuracies” about his billionaire son.

The report included an in-depth analysis of Tesla CEO and Space X founder Elon’s “erratic behaviour”, and claims that he is self-medicating and that he feels “stuck”.

77-year-old Errol also claimed that when his son infamously smoked weed while on Joe Rogan’s podcast, he only did it to avoid appearing “prudish”.

In an interview with Sun Online, Errol said: “It's a very worrying hit job on Elon, filled with blatant inaccuracies.

“Subject to the same scrutiny, 99.9% of those who view Elon in the light of this article would be condemned outright as a danger to society.

“The speculation that Elon has mental health issues and maybe self-medicating with Ambien and ketamine is more hitting on him for made-up reasons to score points for the 'liberals'.

“What is suggested is utter BS. From start to finish.

“We are people who cannot stomach alcohol, are completely averse to smoking, and are almost totally averse to medications, including drugs of any sort.”

He described the entire report as “nonsense from top to bottom”.

The New Yorker's piece, titled Elon Musk's Shadow Rule, was allegedly based on claims from his friends and associates.

The report said: “Associates suggested that Musk's use has escalated in recent years and that the drug, alongside his isolation and his increasingly embattled relationship with the press, might contribute to his tendency to make chaotic and impulsive statements and decisions.”

Speaking about the report, Elon said: “Tragic that Ronan Farrow is a puppet of the establishment and against the people.”
