The American man accused of killing his glam Colombian DJ girlfriend and stuffing her body into a suitcase was admonished by a judge for laughing in court.
John Poulos, the main suspect in the death of Bogota DJ Valentina Trespalacios, 21, was in front of a judge on Wednesday (February 1) when he received a warning for sniggering.
He is alleged to have killed the young woman and stuffed her into a suitcase, before the case was found inside a bin by a homeless man in the Colombian capital.

He was caught laughing during the intervention of the representative of the Attorney General's Office, reports in Colombia stated.
"Excuse me, Madam delegate of the Public Ministry, we are going to make a call for attention. Mr. Translator, so that you please tell Mr. John Nelson to be attentive to the interpretation.
"I do not see that the intervention of the delegate of the Public Ministry is cause of ridicule or cause of some laughter", declared the judge.
The prosecutor also revealed that Poulos showed an Uber driver a picture of his girlfriend as he headed for the airport to flee Colombia after allegedly killing her.

“On January 19, at around 8:30 pm, (Bonilla Cardona) picked up an American citizen at the El Dorado airport and took him to 101 Street #21-17 (…) In the conversation, Poulos stated that it was his third trip to Colombia and showed him a photo of his girlfriend, Valentina Trespalacios," the prosecutor revealed.
This was the same taxi driver whom Poulos allegedly asked if he could get drugs for him.
Poulos allegedlly sought to throw off authorities by purchasing two separate airplane tickets, one from Panamá City to São Paulo and one to Istanbul, Turkey.
However, he was arrested by Panamanian immigration agents and Interpol on January 24 at Tocumen International Airport moments before he was about to board a the flight to Istanbul.
