Man admits sneaking into farm at night to have sex with cow after CCTV footage

A man admitted to a grim claim of bestiality following CCTV footage of the perpetrator having sex with a cow.

One suspicious farmer had checked up on his security surveillance footage, only to find Liam Brown, 25, in the act with a farm animal in Burton, near Christchurch.

An alarm set up had been fitted by the farmer, who had known of Brown and his family as they had previously worked on the farm, Poole Magistrates C ourt has heard.

Mr Brown sobbed in court as he pleaded guilty to one count of sexual penetration with a living animal and causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal.

The disgusting sex act was carried out on a night after suspicious farmhands rigged an alarm system to capture the offending individual, prosecutor Charles Nightingale said.

The farm, off Nightingales Hill, had set up surveillance equipment after they were growingly concerned for the safety of their young livestock, BournemouthEcho reported.

Mr Nightingale said: "The defendant was found by members of the farming family who had concerns regarding the welfare of the young livestock in question and set up alarms in the area.

"On the night in question they were alerted by alarms and equipment they had set up with the result that the defendant was found."

Samples were then taken of the animals subject to Mr Brown's grim sex act, and evidence presented in court confirmed the intercourse in question.

Prosecutor Nightingale added: "The family who own the farm want him nowhere near it."

Mr Brown, who has no previous convictions has not been present at the farm since the incident.

Harry Price-Smith, defending, said the case should be committed for sentence at a crown court, with sentencing set to take place on September 22.

Magistrates addressed Brown and said: "It is going to crown court because the offences are so serious it is possible you need greater punishment than we can give."
