An infamous OnlyFans star and staunch vegan activist has slammed people for calling animals "it" rather than "they".

Tash Peterson, who also goes by Vegan Booty, sparked backlash when she launched the bizarre tirade in a 10 minute video on Facebook earlier this week.

Appearing alongside her partner Jack Higgs, the Aussie influencer blasted how we 'degrade and objectify' animals by using "it" which is supposedly anthropocentric.

She explained: "There's a huge difference of how we address human animals and non human animals and at the end of the day, we're forgetting we're all animals and sentient beings.

"I've even heard it with people and their dogs and they know their dog's gender but they're still saying it.

"It's just not a word to be using for an individual, it's objectifying them and it's devaluing them.

"You can say he/she, they/them, or just even saying the dog or the bird, at least appreciate they're a living being."

She went on to say she was inspired to make the video after hearing other vegan crusaders use "it", something that gravely concerned her.

"It's ingrained in us. It's no one's fault, we're taught from the moment we start school that if it's a non human animal, you say 'it'," she continued.

"My mum's a primary school teacher, she's been teaching children for decades that it's the correct vocabulary to be calling non-human animals 'it'.

"I've only recently made her aware of how wrong it is, it's not grammatically correct because science shows they're sentient individuals, so why are we referring them as if they're objects or commodities?

"At the end of the day, we're all animals and sentient individuals with a desire to live freely from harm."

Predictably, several people were perplexed by Tash's latest video.

One Facebook user commented: "Two its making no sense."

"You name them, I'll eat them," joked a second.

A third added: "I will take notice of this when an animal talks to me."

The OnlyFans star is no stranger to controversy and was sued by a veterinary clinic in December after she accused their business of "animal slavery".

Her public protests in Western Australia also saw her barred from any premises selling alcohol in the region, with her facing a trespassing fine of AUD $10,000 (£5,400) if she breaks the barring notice.

Later this month she will be in court for disorderly conduct following her stunt in a Louis Vuitton store last August.

There she wore a g-string and smeared herself in menstrual blood yelling: "If you're not vegan, you're an animal abuser."

She previously invaded the pitch at a women's Aussie Rules game, screamed at people in KFC wearing a blood-soaked apron and dressed as a cow for protests in supermarkets.

Consequently, she has been dubbed "Australia's biggest pest" by police and policymakers in Western Australia.
