‘Shouts and screams’ from horny swingers club are ‘upsetting nesting birds’

A horny swingers club with booze and a hot tub is "upsetting nesting birds" with loud "shouts and screams", nature reservationists allege.

The usually peaceful area of Frampton Marsh Nature Reserve in Lincolnshire is home to rare birds that are being scared away by some "adult-themed" Pool Shed club events.

Local parties attracting couples in their 40s and 50s are said to have seen upwards of 200 people attend events that do not end until the early hours of the next morning.

Club owner Neil Wright has defended the parties and the "nice place" that hosts the events from those criticising the venue for scaring off birds.

Wright said: "We do have adult parties here but we don't provide sex. We just provide a safe place for people to meet. I don't need a sex licence as it's just people who come and meet. The application's just to sell alcohol.

"They say it's like a swinging club but it's not it's a nice place for people to meet where there's a pool, jacuzzi, a bar, and a dance area."

Despite that, reports from the Lincolnite indicate that people from "all over the country" head to the usually "peaceful" area to take a peek at the birds.

One an has since said the area is ruined by the club, which "plays music and there are shouts and screams of excitement."

Wright, who says he has hosted the parties at Pool Shed since 2009, described the complaints as "hogwash" when speaking to TheLincolnite earlier this month.

The Pool Shed owner is now fighting for the continuation of his alcohol licence, with a hearing set to be held over whether Wright can serve patrons with booze.

He said: "A lot of what they’re saying is hogwash. The police and council have visited here and are happy. The only representations the application has had is from those living nearby."

An unnamed complainant said: "This is totally inappropriate in a quiet village setting such as Frampton."
