Woman horrified after Tinder match brings dead mum’s ashes on first date

A woman has shared her bewilderment online after a Tinder date came to her house with his mother's ashes in a vial.

The unnamed woman was posting on Reddit and said she'd matched with the man on the dating app and eventually decided to meet up.

The pair decided on a barbeque at the woman's place, and when he arrived the ref flags started soon after.

The first red flag was that the man arrived late and said this was because he was circling the block, deciding on whether to go through with the date.

Soon after he began regaling the woman with tales of his dysfunctional family and even brought his own food, but didn't share it.

However, things took a strange turn when the man took out a vial. His date explained: "When we sit down, he reaches into his pocket and pulls out a vial.

"It is about two inches tall with a cork in it. It’s filled with black powder. He must have noticed me staring at it flipping between if he was about to snort something strange or build some sand-art."

But it wasn’t drugs. The woman continued: "'Oh,' he said referring to the vial, 'I’d like to introduce you to my mother'."

The man was also wearing her ashes in a necklace, a ring, as well as a half sleeve tattoo dedicated to his late mother, who he said he "brings everywhere" with him.

After the man finished his food and had left the confused woman's house, he sent her a text message registering his interest in another meeting.

"My mother really liked you, I can’t wait to see you again," he said.

The woman wrote on the Reddit forum that she did not make plans to meet up with the man again.
