BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty ‘missing’ and replaced by co-star after ‘old’ dig

Naga Munchetty was no where to be seen during the latest episode of BBC Breakfast.

The 48-year-old presenter usually presents the morning programme alongside co-host Charlie Stayt from Thursday to Saturday every week.

However, Naga was replaced by Nina Warhurst during Thursday (April 20) episode.

Nina often steps in to cover when main presenters take a break from the show.

Jon Kay and Sally Nugent present BBC Breakfast Monday to Wednesday.

The Sunday episode is usually presented by two different hosts each week.

Naga Munchetty wasn't best pleased with her co-star's comments on Friday's (April 14) show.

Sports correspondent Jane Dougall spoke about the latest updates in the cricketing world and said how the team has "78 years of experience".

Jane was sat on the red sofa opposite Charlie and Naga, who were back in their usual hosting spot after Easter.

Sharing her sports update, Jane said: "78 years experience on the pitch there, I love it.

"I love that the older players are showing the younger players how it's done."

Naga responded: "Don't ever underestimate experience."

"Exactly there's a coach full of it here," as she nodded towards Naga and Charlie.

Looking astounded, Naga scoffed: "Thanks Jane, we're old, thanks."

The TV host did laugh off the remark and ended the segment with a smile, so it seems as if she took the comment on the chin.

BBC viewers have been acitive on social media this morining and have commented on Naga, with mixed reviews.

One ranted: "Naga in superb****y mode this morning #BBCBreakfast"

A second added: "Can't watch when Naga is on, so bloody rude #BBCBreakfast"

While a third penned: "Looking stunning today Naga x"
