Below Deck favourites Captain Lee and Kate Chastain reunite for new show

Captain Lee Rosbach on how Below Deck has changed the industry

Below Deck fan favourites Captain Lee Rosbach and Kate Chastain are back together for a new TV show.

The pair first met on the second season of the hit Bravo show in 2014 when Kate joined as Chief Stewardess, and have been firm friends ever since.

However Kate, 40, announced her departure from the show to pursue other opportunities in 2020 while Captain Lee, 73,  was last seen in season 10 as health issues prevented him appearing.

Having not worked together for some time, fans will be thrilled to see the pair reunited for a new Bravo show Couch Talk with Captain Lee and Kate.

With a format similar to Gogglebox they will be discussing the biggest TV moments of the week on the channel.

Explaining what fans have to look forward to Kate, who recently gave birth to her first child , revealed that Captain Lee has quite a few opinions on Bravolebrities.

“Captain Lee’s very surprising with what he has opinions on in the Bravo universe,” she told E! News.

“For example, he used to love Don’t Be Tardy—I did not see that one coming, but he loved it.

“He surprisingly did have passionate thoughts about Scandoval [Tom Sandoval’s Vanderpump Rules cheating scandal].

“He said that Sandoval was the poor man’s Johnny Depp and I was like, ‘Look at you Captain Lee with your finger on the pulse of pop culture.’ It’s hilarious.”

Captain Lee’s return to screen comes after he claimed that he wasn’t invited back to Below Deck after his health issues forced him off screen.

“I did not quit. I did not retire,” he told the Sun Sentinel. “I was just not invited back. I guess I can see their point of view. They really couldn’t get a straight answer from anyone on how my health was.

“We came to an agreement, and I’m going to be doing some things for them in the next year. Then, Season 12? I imagine they are going to see what happens with Season 11, with somebody new trying to take over for me, see how they do.

“If it’s too expensive for them, we’ll see what happens. If the numbers take a tank, would I go back? Yeah.’

Couch Talk with Captain Lee and Kate begins on August 14, at 10pm on Bravo.
