Bruce Willis resurfaces in first video after family reveals devastating brain diagnosis

BRUCE Willis has resurfaced in a new video on his wife's Instagram.

This is one of the first times he has been seen since his aphasia diagnosis.

Bruce's wife, Emma Heming Willis, 43, posted a video on her Instagram of the actor playing basketball.

He was in the video with three other people as they played on a driveway.

The 67-year-old wore tan pants, a grey-green long-sleeved shirt, and a blue baseball cap.

"I see you BeeDub," she captioned the video.

A song played in the background as he dribbled the ball.

He was thrown the ball by somebody else and then his friend tried to block him, but he dunked the ball anyway.

Bruce seemed to be in good physical and medical condition as he played.

His family revealed earlier this year that he had been diagnosed with aphasia.

A LIFE-CHANGING DIAGNOSIS

The Willis family broke the news in late March about his diagnosis.

They also said that because of his "cognitive issues" he would be quitting acting.

His daughter, Rumer Willis, 33, broke the news in an Instagram post

Alongside a throwback photo of Bruce, 67, Rumer wrote: "To Bruce’s amazing supporters, as a family, we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities.

"As a result of this and with much consideration, Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him."

She continued: "This is a really challenging time for our family and we are so appreciative of your continued love, compassion, and support.

"We are moving through this as a strong family unit, and wanted to bring his fans in because we know how much he means to you, as you do to him.

"As Bruce always says, 'Live it up' and together we plan to do just that."

Aphasia is a medical condition resulting in the inability to understand words and communicate clearly, aphasia typically occurs after a stroke or head injury.

GETTING THROUGH

Even though he has quit acting, Bruce hasn't quit living life.

Back in April, just one week, after his diagnosis was shared with the world, Emma shared a photo of them together.

They were in the woods, as they sat on a log.

She grabbed onto his arm and looked down as Bruce stared into the camera.

“Mom & Dad in their favorite habitat,” read the photo’s caption.

This was the first time he was seen out after everyone found out about his illness.

BETTER TOGETHER

Since March, Bruce's family has shared touching tributes to him and throwback photos that had fans smiling.

Rumer took to her Instagram to share a snap of her and one of her siblings playing with their Hollywood star dad as kids.

The actress, who must only be a toddler in the snap, can be seen pulling a face as she draws her mouth apart and sicks out her tongue.

She gives a cheeky look to the camera while dad Bruce, who has a head full of brunette locks, offers a smile to the lens.

Alongside the adorable throwback image, Rumer wrote: "I love you Daddio, to the moon and back.

"Thank you for teaching me to be so silly. I love laughing with you."

His younger daughter, Scout, also posted a tribute to him, just a few days after telling everyone about his diagnosis.

"Papa," she posted with two heart and fire emojis. "Yesterday was so surreal, sharing something so personal. I didn’t know how it would be received, there is always an unknown when sharing out so vulnerably into the world. I’d hoped for some love and compassion, I truly NEVER could have anticipated the depth and breadth of the love we received as a family yesterday."

She continued to say that the amount of love, energy, and prayers the family has received kept hitting her and it humbled her so much that it brought her to tears.

"Thank you so much to everyone who reached out to me yesterday, i love and I appreciate you with all my heart, it’s gonna take me a whole to respond to your messages!" Scout ended the message.

The heartfelt caption comes alongside a photo of Scout and Bruce smiling at each other as she cuddles into him on a chair.

The rest of his kids, along with his wife and ex-wife, Demi Moore, all posted moving tributes to the actor.
