Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) begins to fear the worst in Coronation Street next week, when she receives word that her boyfriend Leo (Joe Frost) has been taken to hospital.
The news comes in the wake of a showdown the landlady has with former daughter-in-law Carla Connor (Alison King).
Carla has a go at her, claiming that her moving on so soon with Leo after Johnny’s (Richard Hawley) death is inappropriate.
Her words linger in Jenny’s ears, and ultimately she decides that she must end things with Leo. Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan), however, reckons that she’s being too hasty.
The above clip, taken from Wednesday’s (January 26) first edition of the ITV serial drama, sees Daisy try to reason with Jenny, claiming she should hold on to every bit of happiness she can get her hands on.
But things soon take a devastating turn.
Daisy, after having snatched Jenny’s phone, answers a call on the device, only to discover that Leo has been injured as a result of an incident during his match.
‘He’s had some sort of accident,’ explains Daisy, leaving Jenny devastated. ‘He’s unconscious’.
Jenny wastes little time in heading off to the hospital, asking Daisy to man the pub for her in her absence.
The question is: will Leo be okay?
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Wednesday January 26 at 7:30pm on ITV.
