Dan Wootton rants against the media elite
Adjoa Andoh sparked a huge backlash online following her comment about Buckingham Palace’s balcony being “terribly white”, which she made during an ITV broadcast of Saturday’s Coronation coverage.
She was later defended by BBC Radio 4 presenter Paddy O’Connell, who told the actress she had “nothing to apologise for”.
In an interview on Sunday, Adjoa told Paddy: “I think I upset a few people yesterday. I was talking about the day and how marvellous it was and then looking at the balcony at the end.
“And I suddenly went ‘Ooh, it’s so white’ because the day had been so so mixed. I didn’t mean to upset anybody, I just was…”
However, Paddy was quick to point out: “You haven’t upset anyone.”
Dan Wootton has since weighed in on the controversy and launched into a rant on GB News.
At the beginning of his show, he took aim at ITV for allowing Adjoa to be on the programme.
He fumed: “You would have thought the British bashing corporation, woke ITV and Sly News would have found one weekend to put the divisive anti-UK racial to one side, right? As the country reunited for the Coronation of King Charles III.
“The chance would be a fine thing given how much they despise the traditions of this country.”
He went on: “In fact, the woke mind virus seemed to infect their coverage of this historic and celebratory event.

“And as ever, race-baiting was at the heart of the bid to divide.
“Now, not one moment was more disappointing than the blatant racism and I’m going to call it that racism from the Bridgerton actress Adjoa Andoh, who for some reason was invited by ITV to contribute to his Coronation Day coverage.
“Probably I imagine because she’s a well-known defender of Harry and Meghan.
“And at a moment of history, she decided the biggest takeaway from the balcony appearance was the colour of the participant’s skin.”
After playing the clip from ITV’s coverage, Dan added: “There has rightly been outrage at Adjoa’s racism, which we all know would be rightly considered completely unacceptable if the skin colour of those being commented on were different.”
The GB News host also shared a clip from the actress’ interview with Paddy.
Dan concluded: “After feeling the level of complaints flooding in, probably disproves your theory, Paddy.”
Dan Wootton Tonight airs weekdays from 9pm on GB News.
