READY to move on and get her life back on track, Stacey Slater has her sights on Kheerat Panesar.
But in upcoming scenes of EastEnders, the food van owner is devastated over the businessman's connection with Whitney.
In recent weeks, Stacey (portrayed by actress Lacey Turner) has tried to adapt to life outside of prison.
Married to Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) out of convenience to get her out of behind bars, Stacey first secured a job as a market trader but has since launched her own venture in the form of Stacey's Baps.
All set for a new drama-free beginning, Stacey has even considered and taken the steps towards reigniting her romantic connection with Kheerat (Jaz Deol).

However, obstacles are still standing in the way as the latter is adamant on exposing serial killer Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) and saving his second wife Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams).
He has therefore offered his help to Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) as they share the same goal.
This has led to Stacey feeling rejected and unwanted, despite sharing a kiss with Kheerat in recent scenes.
In instalments due to air on our screens next week, Stacey's lovesickness only grows while Eve tries to help by building bridges with Kheerat's mother Suki (Balvinder Sopal), but her efforts are rejected.
Suki has her own agenda against Stacey after Kheerat contracted food poisoning and has been trying to get her food van removed from the front of her Minute Mart.
Stacey is led to believe Kheerat wants nothing to do with her and only has eyes for Whitney.
While at the café, Stacey spots Whitney anxiously waiting for Kheerat to call her.
When she asks if Whitney is waiting for Kheerat, Stacey struggles to hide her devastation when Whitney confirms.
Little does Stacey know that Kheerat is in for the fight of his life.

As mentioned above, Kheerat is determined to give Gray some justice as he believes he was responsible for Chantelle's death, after he abused her for years.
Whitney has even found proof of Gray's abuse and a surprise witness has told Chelsea of her own experience with both Gray and Chantelle in A&E.
Both Kheerat and Gray will be involved in a brutal fight at death's door.
But will Stacey ever find out she still has a place in Kheerat's heart before it's too late?
