There is now one golden rule of Emmerdale – no, it’s not avoiding Cain Dingle’s car boot or ensuring you never drink the brandy at Home Farm – it’s don’t p*ss off Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu). Like, seriously.
Leanna Cavanagh found evidence of trinkets Meena keeps from her victims and soon ended up thrown from a bridge to her death. And then, Andrea Tate was left to die in a fire after sustaining a head injury from Meena as she had caught her trying to kill Victoria.
And now Meena has claimed the life of Ben, who discovered footage which captured the attempted murder of Victoria.
Meena clearly not only is prepared to kill but honestly enjoys it. So just give her an excuse and she will not think twice.
Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) is a tough nut – having been through horrendous ordeals, she saved herself by shooting dead hostage taking DI Malone.
But she may have met her most dangerous adversary yet in the form of Meena. Little does Dawn know that Meena has designs on Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle).
Dawn and Billy have history and Dawn finds herself exposing her vulnerabilities to him once more, sobbing that she feels like she is evil for killing Malone.
Dawn leans in for a kiss which Billy initially reciprocates before pulling away, leaving her humiliated. Dawn is mortified over yesterday’s rejection and dodges Billy’s calls.
At Tall Trees, Billy covers to Meena that he’s worried about Ellis, but his mind is solely on Dawn. Billy turns up at Woodbine, insisting Dawn hears what he’s got to say.
He explains that he wants to be with her, but wants assurance from her that she feels the same after their messy past.
But if Meena loses Billy to Dawn, she is unlikely to let it go…
