Emmerdale fans can look forward to plenty of juicy storylines from the ITV soap this year after a telling press conference with show bosses revealed what's in store for the village in 2022.
While they promise 'explosive' scenes between Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and Al Chapman (Michael Wildman) as their feud continues, Jane Hudson (Executive Producer) and Laura Shaw (Script Editor) also teased a big story is in the pipeline for Moira Dingle (Natalie J. Robb) as her past "comes back to haunt her."
"I don't think Moira fans need to worry at all," explained Laura. "We've got plenty coming up for Moira this year."
She added: "This year, Moira is going to be the person to lean on for more than one of her family members."
Laura continued to tease Moira's storyline, explaining: "We’re going to see her be given one of the most difficult decisions of her life when she's asked to keep a huge secret and she's going to struggle massively with that."
And that's not all that's in store for the Dingle.

"On another side of the fence, we're also going to see something that Moira thought was in the past and that she’d dealt with come back to haunt her in quite a big way," Laura hinted.
With their 50th birthday coming up in October, Emmerdale are determined to make 2022 their best year yet and it seems Moira's enigmatic past will lay the foundations for a big shake up across the village.
"The ramifications of all of that are going to affect quite a few people.
"And again we're going to see her really tested with how she deals with that situation," Laura concluded.
