Emmerdale’s Mary Goskirk blackmailed over nude photos as villain returns

Emmerdale: Mary and Faye enjoy family meal

In upcoming Emmerdale scenes, Mary Goskirk (played by Louise Jameson) receives a message from an unknown number asking to meet up.

She’s thrown to see her ex Faye Helders (Jane Gurnett) looking dishevelled, having not seen her for months.

Determined to remain steely in the face of her tormentor, Mary’s stunned to learn Faye has been sleeping in her car.

Mary’s even more shocked when Faye tells her she loves her and begs her for a fresh start together.

However, she doesn’t believe Faye’s lies and the conversation takes a turn when the latter attempts to blackmail Mary.

Faye isn’t ready to give up yet and she demands Mary either change her witness statement or she will send a non-consensual nude photo of her to all of her phone contacts.

The following day, things escalate further when Faye enters Smithy Cottage and reminds Mary the clock is ticking for her to withdraw her statement before she sends out the picture.

Mary’s daughter Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) is left in disbelief when she returns to Smithy Cottage and finds Faye smug and telling Mary they can meet tomorrow to confirm she’s withdrawn her statement.

Rhona’s disgusted Faye’s blackmail has made her mother withdraw her statement.

Mary is just desperate to stop the photograph being sent out and she grows increasingly distraught as Rhona promises to fix the situation as she’s heartbroken to see her mother so vulnerable.

The following day, Mary’s granddaughter says she’s inspired by her truth-telling which leaves Mary feeling guilty about her plan to lie to the police to escape Faye’s blackmail.

On her way to the police station to change her statement and exonerate her vile ex, Mary freezes as she’s completely torn about what to do.

Will she tell the police she is being blackmailed by Mary and explain the situation?

How will Faye react if she learns Mary has not withdrawn her statement to the authorities?

There might not even be a photograph of Mary naked to send out to contacts in the first place.

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
