Fate: The Winx Saga arrives on Netflix on September 16 and the disappearance of Farah Dowling (played by Eve Best) is still troubling the school. Bloom (Abigail Cowen) and the other fairies must turn their attention to keeping evil forces at bay while Rosalind (Miranda Richardson) rules. Express.co.uk has all you need to know about what time the new season arrives.

What time is Fate: The Winx Saga season 2 out?

Based on the original animated series, Fate: The Winx Saga follows the fairies and Specialists at Alfea College as they learn to control their powers.

Bloom discovered she possessed the Dragon Flame, which is one of the most powerful forms of magic in history.

In the second season, she must learn how to be in control of her special abilities and not let her emotions get the better of her.

This is easier said than done as she is trying to save the school whilst discovering more about her birth parents.

Thankfully, fans will be able to binge their way through the seven episodes as they are all arriving at the same time.

Fans in the US will be able to watch the series from midnight on Friday, with fans in the UK having access from 8am.

As all seven hour-long episodes will be airing at the same time, the second outing makes for a great weekend binge.

School is back in session for another year under the militant authority of new headmistress Rosalind.

The Burned Ones may have been defeated but there are much worse threats looming around Alfea this season.

With Dowling gone and Silva (Robert James-Collier) imprisoned for treason, the fairies are left to their own devices.

When fairies start to go missing in the night, Bloom and her friends discover a particularly dangerous threat.

There is plenty to look forward to this season with new faces joining the cast, as well as some cast changes.

Terra Harvey’s (Eliot Salt) cousin Flora (Paulina Chávez) is joining the school and she has a passion for all things science.

Meanwhile, new Rosalind actress Miranda Richardson has taken over the role from Lesley Sharp.

Fans may also notice Terra’s father Ben (Alex Macqueen) is now played by Daniel Betts.

As well as new fairies, there are also some new Specialists joining the fight.

Brandon Grace and Éanna Hardwicke are joining the series as Grey and Sebastian respectively.

While Grey is a Specialist, Sebastian is an old acquaintance at Alfea who knows a lot about the past.

Fans will be waiting to see if any other fairies transform and fully embrace their powers this season.

Bloom actress Abigail revealed how their magic is created behind the scenes.

She told Buzzfeed: “We’d do the scene without the lights first and get different angles.

“Then they’d announce, ‘Okay, bringing the lights!’ and then they’d hook me up to these lights.

“I would have to basically just wait for the cue, and then it would light up.

“I’d have to look at it and basically burn my irises. Not really. [But] that was most of the CGI effects.

“For the transformation scene, I was in a harness pretty much all day being lifted up and spun around.

“Some of the fire scenes were practical, so some of it was real fire and then others were CGI.”
