Furious Strictly fans are up in arms after spoiler reveals who wins the Christmas special

FURIOUS Strictly Come Dancing fans are up in arms after a spoiler revealed who wins the Christmas special – two weeks before it airs.

Viewers were already unhappy to have had the results of tonight's semi-final results show ruined on social media this afternoon.

They found out which two couples were in the dance off, as well as which star narrowly missed out on a spot in next weekend's grand finale.

As if that wasn't bad enough, they also found out who will be crowned champ on Christmas Day in the BBC dance show's festive special.

The celebrities taking part are Adrian Chiles with pro dancer Jowita Przystał, Anne-Marie with Graziano Di Prima, Fred Sirieix with Dianne Buswell, Jay Blades with Luba Mushtuk, Mel Giedroyc with Neil Jones, and Moira Stuart with Aljaž Škorjanec.

Having found out which of the celebs wins the special, one fan moaned on Twitter: "What a shock (not) could of told you they'd win before they even danced. Won't be watching the Christmas special."

Another complained: "We all knew they would win as soon as they were announced!"

A third sniped: "Not at all surprising."

The Christmas special was pre-recorded on Tuesday but won't air until 7.10pm on Christmas Day.

Meanwhile, Strictly's weekly results are always pre-recorded straight after Saturday's live show, but don't air until Sunday evening.

Fans have previously begged for the results show to air on Saturdays, or be filmed live on Sundays to stop the elimination being ruined online each week.

However, bosses have no plans for the current system to change.
