Good Morning Britain 's Laura Tobin joked it's her "last day" on air at ITV today.
The weather bulletin presenter, 40, was left red-raced during yesterday's instalment (June 23) of the breakfast show when she repeatedly got Adil Ray's name wrong.
Joining hosts Adil and Kate Garraway in the ITV studio today, Laura sat alongside the duo and joked it was her last day after threatening to quit yesterday.
It seemed Adil wasn't willing to let the name blunder go, and repeatedly pronounced his name to make sure the former Daybreak presenter didn't make the same mistake again.
One viewer didn't see the funny side of Adil's swipe towards Laura as they penned: "@GMB Adil, let it go! So Laura forgot your name momentarily. Who cares? Only you it seems by the fact you're still harping on about it.
Another social media user couldn't help but poke fun at the presenter, with one saying: "Laura, you're not going to call Adil Ray Alex GMB are you?"
While presenting the weather report on Thursday morning, the meteorologist got Adil's name confused with the famous Welsh singer, Aled Jones.
The mistake then prompted Ray to jokingly call her by a different name as he called Laura by the name Linda instead.
But after saying: "I've already texted you to say I'm sorry," Tobin then went on to make the same mistake two more times.
She suddenly realised she had been saying his name wrong for the entire segment and began holding her head in her hand.
Charlotte Hawkins could then be heard yelling from the ITV studio: "She did it again! Laura, you're doubling down."
Tobin then insisted that the blunder was made as she had just sent a text to "Aled," but meaning to say Adil.
Following her continued mistake, the red-faced presenter joked: "This is my last day working at Good Morning Britain."
The name blunder sparked concern among fans who thought the presenter was being serious about her resignation.
"Just hope Laura Tobin doesn't leave GMB because she is a very good person and is very good at doing the weather people who say she should go hope you are wrong and let's see her stay," a user wrote.
While another said: "Going to miss your ray of ‘sunshine’ everyday on the weather Laura… p.s. I loved you dancing that time the camera turned around."
