Tilly Ramsay received top marks for her Couple’s Choice dance to Revolting Children from Matilda the musical on Saturday’s instalment of Strictly Come Dancing. Ahead of the 20-year-old’s performance with pro partner Nikita Kuzmin, Tilly listened to a heartfelt message from her famous dad Gordon Ramsay. The celebrity chef explained how he and Tilly share a special bond and “just click”.
Gordon was filmed gushing about Tilly in a video clip which was shown to her ahead of her Musicals Week performance
During the emotional clip, Gordon said: “From an early age she had an amazing pink chef jacket.
“I remember going upstairs when I used to tuck her in bed and there she was lying in bed with this pink chefs’ jacket which said, Matilda.
“Tilly and I just click and we just have this moment together that’s a bond.
“Tilly is an incredible foodie and also an amazing chef and I don’t think she quite realises her own potential yet.”
Gordon lovingly added: “I’m so proud of you girl I love you.”
During the clip, Tilly and Nikita watch a montage of her cooking as a teenager with her celebrity chef father.
Tilly explained: “We’ve always made it such a big thing having mealtime together and this just gave us loads of extra time to sit around the table and joke around.
“It’s just so great that we’ve got everyone together.”
Tilly said she’s been with her family “almost every day for 20 years”, but when her Strictly Come Dancing experience ends she’ll be heading off to university.
“The scary thing is when Strictly’s over, I’m going to be moving up to university,” she added.
During the montage her mum Tana emotionally said: “Tilly, I can’t actually think about you going to university, it makes me quite sad.”
Tilly said she wanted to dedicate her Musicals Week, which was to Revolting Children from the musical Matilda to her family.
She explained: “I want to dedicate this dance to my family as a big thank you to everything.”
Her hard work clearly paid off as she landed herself at the top of the leaderboard after each judge scored her a 10.
