Hollyoaks newcomer Beau star Jon-Paul Bell’s soap past exposed with ITV stint

Hollyoaks newcomer Beau Ramsey has already been making waves for himself after he shared a passionate kiss with Liberty Savage.

As tensions rise between her and partner Damon Kinsella she has struggled to keep her emotions in check and found herself straying with the handsome stranger after he saved daughter Faith from being injured by Damon's drink dispensing contraption.

But Beau exceeded himself with his latest shocking revelation – by confirming to Hollyoaks legend Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard) with a meaningful flower delivery that he is his dad.

The news came as quite a surprise to Tony – who struggled to figure out just how it was possible while his wife Diane was convinced that he had been cheating on her.

However, Beau had all the details of just how it was the councillor came to be his father – and it all dated back to a trip away 25 years ago.

The said holiday resulted in Beau's mum falling pregnant with Tony's baby – and he knew nothing about it until now.

However, while Tony has never seen Beau before, eagle-eyed soap fans may well recognise actor Jon-Paul Bell from a previous encounter.

The hunky star has previously starred in an array of soap roles – including a brief sting in Coronation Street earlier this year.

The 29-year-old is no stranger to life on a soap set with his CV littered with appearances in big-name shows including Doctors,

Back in 2013, he starred as Austin Ascot in three episodes of Emmerdale, returning to the soap in 202 for one episode as Gwyn – the best man of a groom who Gabby Thomas meets up with to discuss his wedding plans.

He then went on to appear as PC Tony Milne in one episode of BBC medical drama Doctors in 2015, before returning to the show in 2021 for another one episode appearance as Liam Bright – the adopted son of Alan Carling who has concerns about his health after losing his other adoptive father.

2022 saw Jon-Paul arrive in Weatherfield for a stint on the Coronation Street cobbles as paralegal Ben Chancellor between April 18 – May 30.

The legal worker was hired by Imran to spy on Abi to try and find evidence to aid him in gaining custody of his son Alfie.

Ben eventually lies in court telling them he saw Abi with drugs when he witnessed her giving money to a friend, resulting in the court awarding Imran custody of Alfie with just supervised visits allowed for Abi.

Whether Beau will continue to bring turmoil to Hollyoaks remains to be seen.

Hollyoaks continues Monday at 7pm on E4, or stream the next episode from Monday midnight on All4.
