Ollie Morgan (Gabriel Clark) will says goodbye to Hollyoaks next week, as he departs for a new opportunity in Canada, eager to begin the next chapter of his life after laying dad Luke (Gary Lucy) to rest.
Luke, as viewers know, died earlier this month, after he fell from a clifftop in Mallorca and into the ocean.
His funeral service is held next week, and Ollie is tasked with delivering the eulogy at Cindy Cunningham’s (Stephanie Waring) request.
But with it being a particularly emotional day, he struggles to get through the eulogy, forcing Cindy to intervene.
Addressing Luke’s loved ones, Cindy encourages those in attendance to look at the positives of his life, underneath a heartwarming reel of memories.
It’s a touching moment, one that’s ultimately ruined by the impromptu return of Scarlett (Susie Amy), Ollie’s mum, who drops a major bombshell in the middle of the service.
Ollie, however, soon has other things on his mind, as his final day in the eponymous village arrives.
Viewers will have seen him apply for a job opportunity in Canada several weeks ago, and it’s this very opportunity that leads to his departure.
But before setting off, he wants to bid farewell to Brooke Hathaway (Tylan Grant),
Brooke, however, struggles with the idea of saying goodbye.
Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard) and Imran Maalik (Ijaz Rana), meanwhile, pull together to give Ollie a loving gift for his send-off.
No, you’re crying.

Ollie’s final scenes will air on Thursday, July 7.
Gabriel Clark took over the role of Ollie in 2020, after Aedan Duckworth, who had played the part between 2018 and 2020, left the show.
Throughout his time on Hollyoaks, the actor has been at the centre of many incredible storylines as Ollie, such as the character’s battle with addiction, his role in Sid Sumner’s (Billy Price) near-demise, and of course, Luke’s battle with dementia.
One to watch: Thursday July 7 at 7pm on E4.
