Loose Women’s Janet Street-Porter shocked her fellow panellists this week as she admitted to sleeping with her fiancé’s flatmate just moments after getting engaged.

Janet has been a staple on the ITV talk show since 2011, where she is usually seen opposite equally as iconic panellists like Stacey Solomon, Ruth Langsford and Christine Lampard.

During Wednesday’s instalment of the show, Janet, Coleen Nolan, Denise Welch, and Sophie Morgan discussed the highs and lows of young love.

They addressed the recent viral story of Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown getting engaged at the age of 19 to Jake Bongiovi, son of legendary rocker Jon Bon Jovi.

Sophie, who earlier this year said her co-stars are trouble with a capital T, believed that the actress was too young to get engaged.

While sharing their own anecdotes, the 76 year old journalist and broadcaster dropped one hell of a bomb when she made a rather x-rated confession.

“I got engaged to someone and then the minute I got engaged… I did sleep with his flatmate,” she said, sparking a hilarious uproar from the live audience.

“But, I carried on with the engagement,” Janet added, as Coleen continued: “I mean, I don’t want to worry any of you today but you know we’re on the telly right?! This is going out live.”

Denise, who earlier in the month flaunted her spectacular weight loss, was clearly flustered by the admission and began fanning herself with her cue card.

“I’m very, very sorry… Anyway, I did get engaged at 19 too,” Janet added.

After Coleen also admitted to getting engaged at 18, Sophie asked Janet whether she believed Milly was too young.

Janet continued to explain: “I was desperate to leave home and I just thought it was the quickest way to leave home.”

“I mean anyone sensible would’ve thought of another way sensible to leave Ealing and suburbia.

“But, in my mind, it was just to get an engagement ring.”

But the shocking discoveries did not stop there, and Janet further outed herself as she admitted to still having the very ring.

A shocked Denise hit back: “Do you?!”

Reacting to the moment online, one person wrote: “I see Janet has been bragging about cheating on all the men she’s been with, something most people would keep quiet about and not be proud of #LooseWomen.”

“That’s far too much information Janet,” another said, while a third added, “Getting sick of Janet bragging about cheating on her partners.”

Janet has been married four times, with the first being to photographer Tim Street-Porter from 1967 to 1975.

From 1975 to 1977, she was married to Tony Elliott, who was followed by Frank Cvitanovich from 1979 to 1981 and David Sorkin from 1997 to 1999.
