Lauren arrested for explosion of violence in Corrie after her plan for Max fails

Lauren Bolton’s (Cait Fitton) jealousy gets the better of her again in Coronation Street soon, but it may have lasting consequences as the police arrive in Weatherfield looking for her.

Since her return, Lauren has struggled with the fact Max (Paddy Bever) just wants to be her friend and not her girlfriend. Aside from the fact that Lauren is a reminder of the time he spent in Griff’s (Michael Condron) extremism gang, Max also has feelings for Sabrina, who is Gav’s (Noah Olaoye) sister.

Coming up, Max lies to Lauren, making out that he’s in college all day before heading to the precinct with Sabrina.

Unbeknownst to Max, Lauren watches him from a distance and later, she attempts to wind Sabrina up by making out that she and Max are an item.

Following a confrontation with Sabrina and Max, Lauren’s emotions get the better of her, so she trashes the salon in a fit of rage.

After finding out that he’s been skipping college, David (Jack P Shepherd) tells Max that if he isn’t going, he can work in the salon instead.

So, Max lets himself into the salon but he finds the place in a complete mess.

After Lauren admits that she trashed the place in anger, she helps Max tidy up and is touched when he says that he’ll cover for her.

But back at the café, a police officer arrives and announces that Lauren will be arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage.

So, what now for Lauren?

Will she be sent to prison, or can someone save her?

‘Lauren is a ticking time bomb, she will build things up because she hasn’t got anyone to release to’, Cait Fitton said.

‘Coming back and realising that Max was with Sabrina was a kick in the stomach for Lauren. Max was really all she had as she obviously doesn’t have her dad around, doesn’t have a mum, hasn’t got any friends so she hasn’t got anyone she can release her anxiety or worries on.

‘She builds everything up and then explodes and it’s only a matter of time before she does that.’
