Linda Carter’s (Kellie Bright) hopes of finding love again could be dashed in EastEnders next week by none other than Mick (Danny Dyer), after he gatecrashes her date.

The landlady is on the lookout for love, after resolving to let Mick go in the hopes that he’ll be happy with Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks).

But despite Mick having proposed to Janine, it’s clear that he’s still head over heels in love with his beloved L and next week, he appears to be rather jealous when he learns that she’s going on a date.

Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) informs Linda that Karl, who previously stood her up, is actually keen to go out with her, explaining that what transpired last time was a simple miscommunication

Mick rallies Linda on to go for it – just as Janine appears – but despite his words of encouragement, it’s clear that he’s still holding a torch for his ex-wife.

The following day, Linda prepares to meet with Karl for their date, but she confides in Mick about a big concern that she’s got.

Will Mick offer words of comfort?

That remains to be seen, but Linda subsequently sets off to Walford East, where the date gets off to a great start.

Things, however, take quite a turn, as Mick arrives with Janine, who suspects that her beau knew that Linda would be there for her date.

Karl begins to question who Mick is. Will Mick’s presence blow Linda’s shot at moving on?
