Loose Women CANCELLED until Tuesday for the Rugby World Cup

LOOSE Women has been CANCELLED until Tuesday for the Rugby World Cup – kicking off with a match between Japan and Russia tomorrow.

The daytime TV show won't air on Friday 20th September or Monday 23rd September, and neither will This Morning.

ITV has instead been taken over by the sport, which will no doubt come as a blow for fans of the programmes.

Loose Women is being sacrificed to air the opening match of the tournament, which kicks off at 11.45am while pre-show coverage begins fifteen minutes earlier.

Meanwhile, the World Cup's opening ceremony begins at 10.25am – booting This Morning from the schedule.

Monday will see Wales take on Georgia at 10.25am, meaning that both shows had to be omitted from the schedule once again.

At the end of today's episode, Loose Women host Andrea McLean told fans that they wouldn't be on air for the next few days but it will be business as usual on Tuesday.

One disgruntled fan tweeted ITV: "Could you please tell me why you’ve had to put the rugby on in place of This Morning and Loose Women when ITV2, 3 and 4 could surely be used for one or the other?"

They added: "Will this be a regular occurrence?"

The matches are on so early in the day because Japan are hosting the World Cup this year.
