Loose Women’s Coleen Nolan thanks Brenda Edwards for matchmaking her with new man

Coleen Nolan revealed that her fellow panellist, Brenda Edwards set her up with her new boyfriend on Loose Women.

The 56 year old singer and TV star explained that she swapped phones with her co-star Brenda so they could find dates for each other.

Brenda, 52, began: “We were swiping and swiping away and saying 'no, no, no', so we swapped phones and I think it worked quite well.”

Coleen went on to say that Brenda’s matchmaking skills had been a huge success as she thanked her for finding her new boyfriend: “Yes, but she – don’t say his name – she found my new man."

“Well I kinda went 'ooh he’s nice' and she said 'yes, definitely swipe for him'," she continued.

The duo explained that finding a date for your friend is sometimes “much easier” as they know you so well.

Brenda added: “Obviously Coleen knows me and knows my personality and vice versa. I think that’s why it’s much easier when your friend is telling you I think this is what I think you're like.”

Ruth Langsford, 61, asked her co-stars if they were judging each other's dates solely on looks.

Coleen continued: “Well, you kind of read the biog[raphy] as well, but it is, like I’ve said before, the thing I don’t like is it’s a bit of a catalogue, you can’t help but swipe on what they look like.

“They might have the best biog in the world but you might go, 'ooh that’s not for me.' And it is difficult.”

Ruth asked if matchmaking for each other made them “nervous” or if they trusted each other’s judgement, to which Coleen admitted she was nervous, but it had worked out for her as the date had been a success.

The sweet exchange comes after the Loose Women stars denied all reports of a “rift” forming between them and Coleen Nolan.

Former X Factor star Brenda spoke out and said that she had a close bond and “fun friendship” with her co-star, as Janet Street Porter praised Coleen too.

She tweeted: “I love working with Coleen Nolan and we’ve never had a single disagreement- sorry if that’s not ‘news’ xx."

As Brenda wrote: “@NolanColeen it's always a pleasure to hang with you at work @loosewomen.

“Also out of work, you have always made me feel so welcome, and I appreciate the straight talking, fun friendship we have!! Keep smiling in the face of adversity my lovely.”

Meanwhile, Coleen told her Twitter followers she was "taking legal advise about the slurs" made about her and her co-stars relationships.
